Payment & Travel Terms

The following terms and conditions are applied to bookings made by you through your usage of Myanmar Travel .
Tours are legally operated by Asia Travel & Leisure Co, Ltd. The rate is valid until Dec 31st, 2017.

CHILD DISCOUNT
Children under 12 receive a discount up to 30% off the land tour and 25% off airfare, when accompanied by two adults sharing a room. However, an extra bed will be fully charged as an adult.
DEPOSIT & PAYMENT
30% of the total tour cost to be deposited upon commitment of the tour, this deposit is non-refundable. This amount will be paid by credit card (Pay online to our branch office in Hanoi, Vietnam - plus the Bank fee is 3%) is required to confirm your booking.
Where deposits and advance payments are required from contractors/third parties, these will also be invoiced to the client for payment. This will be required for Myanmar Travel to secure services contractors/third parties. Pre-payment procedures during high/peak seasons may also vary, depending on the accommodation policy to guarantee the booking. Myanmar Travel will inform you accordingly about this for each individual case.
The remaining balance (70%) of the Land Tour cost is due upon your arrival in Myanmar, payable at our Yangon office in cash.
NOTE: Unlike the rest of the World. In Myanmar, all transaction is in cash. The country just opened up and banking system here is so complicated. We could only accept the Minimum deposit by Credit Card through the pay gate of our head office in Vietnam (This amount we have to pay doubled TAX for both countries: Vietnam & Myanmar).
Please help us to settle the balance of the Tour cost in cash when you arrive Myanmar (In brand new USD notes), payable at our office in Yangon. Your help will make our work easier and we will highly appreciate your support and your understanding.
PAY BY CREDIT CARD
Because credit cards are not accepted in Myanmar. We have our online payment system in our branch office in Vietnam and it allows you make deposit/payment via our secured online payment SSL. When you confirm the tour, our staff will create an order for each transaction and send you the link to pay and give you details instruction.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you obtain travel insurance from your country before and during your travel. Neither Myanmar Travel nor its agents/suppliers or business partners shall/and can be held responsible for any loss, or damaged or stolen personal belongings.
CANCELLATIONS.
All cancellations must be received in writing and sent to us via fax or e-mail. The following rules apply for cancellations:
* More than 21 days prior to departure: The total deposit paid to us (30% of tour value) will act as your cancellation fee to cover hotel charges and organization fees.
* 14 - 21 days prior to departure: 50% on total value of the Tour Cost charged, due to hotel charges for no-shows and organizing fees.
* Within 1-14 days prior to departure: 100% on total charged.
* No-Show: 100% on total charge.
UNUSED SERVICES
No refunds or exchanges can be made with respect to accommodations, meals, sightseeing tours, transport or any other services, included in the tour price, but not utilized by the tour members. Travel documents will be compiled after the deposit has been received and are sent two or three weeks prior to departure. These documents will be sent via email, and should be printed out by participants and kept as a receipt.
RESPONSIBILITY
All possible care is taken to ensure that our suppliers maintain the highest possible standards. However, we are not responsible in any way for problems, however they may arise, that result from the booking of services we do not directly control. Myanmar Travel , its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, servants or agents shall not be responsible or become liable in contract or tort for any injury, damage, loss, delay to person or property, additional expenses or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly due to any events beyond our control.
HOTEL RATING
Although hotels/guest houses/accommodation in the region may provide you with information about their qualification, the properties used and offered by Myanmar Travel in this part of the world may not all have official star qualification issued by an official government-accredited hotel association in the country of operation. Myanmar Travel provides you with its own internal star qualification which is based on its own experience and certain criteria to ensure you have an interpretation of the qualification. Myanmar Travel cannot be held liable in any way for this star qualification.
TOURS
Myanmar Travel will arrange sightseeing excursions and transportation as contracted in a professional manner. English, Spanish or other language speaking guides are provided to escort clients on all tour programs as per the proposed itinerary. Tours include entrance fees, meals (where mentioned) excluding any drinks, and other expenses, specifically mentioned in the tour program inclusions. All services provided by Myanmar Travel, its employees or agents are of the highest possible standard. All tour guides are licensed and will be responsible for demonstrating any safety equipment and highlighting any safety risk before commencing any activities on tour.
TRANSFERS
Unless otherwise stated, Myanmar Travel will provide for each destination according to the rates provided in our tariff. Transfer service includes the meet and greet of travelers with a name sign and transportation according to the booked itinerary.
TRANSPORTATION
Where possible, Myanmar Travel uses coaches and cars, contracted on a long-term basis. Transportation (road or water transport) is operated by fully-licensed drivers / operators, in accordance with local safety standards. Vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications, kept clean and in good working order, registered and insured adequately. Water transport will be of a similar quality and lifejackets will be provided for all clients.
Myanmar Travel aims to keep clients aware that standards of transportation in each destination are different, yet we are committed to the best available means of transportation in that specific area of operation.
COMPLAINS & CUSTOMER SERVICE
A dedicated Customer Care team is assigned to handle any customer service issues whilst on the ground. Myanmar Travel considers complaints as valuable feedback to improve service delivery levels. We request that service delivery failures or customer concerns, be reported during the guest’s stay to one of our representatives. It is the aim of the company to solve any irregularity immediately.
LICENSES & PERMITS
All Myanmar Travel offices, subcontracted suppliers and other service providers used comply with license and permit requirements, based on the relevant regulations of each country in which Myanmar Travel operate.
FORCE MAJEURE
During the term of this agreement, neither party shall be in default of its obligations to the extent that its performance is delayed or prevented by causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, bankruptcy of a vendor, strikes and other labor disturbances, acts of war, or civil disturbances, or other equivalent or comparable events.
INDEMNITY
The client agrees to indemnify and to save Myanmar Travel from harm and against all damage or injury (including death) to property or person(s) resulting from intentional or negligent acts or omissions from their respective officers, employees, agents, contractors or subcontractors in connection with the performance of this agreement.
LEGAL NOTE
This agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam (and/or applicable in relation to the country it is legally represented) for the time being in force and the parties agree to submit any dispute arising between the parties under this agreement to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the respectable Arbitration Institute, Office of the Judiciary applicable at the time of submission of the dispute to arbitration and the conduct of the arbitration thereof shall be under the auspices of the specific Arbitration Institute accordingly.
LIABILITY
Myanmar Travel act as an intermediary between all airlines, hotels, local tourist offices and other service providers. Therefore Myanmar Travel reserves the right to modify tours and itineraries with or without notice. Myanmar Travel tours are organized in conjunction with the respective airline(s) scheduled flights, therefore, itineraries and timetables are provisional and subject to change without notice. Acknowledgement and confirmation of the above-mentioned conditions is active, once clients participate in one of the provided services via Myanmar Travel
VALIDITY
This information is valid at the time of publication but is subject to change without prior notice. Should any changes occur, they will be posted immediately on the website. However, should the Terms and Conditions change after the deposit is paid, the Terms and Conditions under which the deposit was paid shall apply.
